Friends of COLS

The Friends of COLS Scholarship is open to College of Letters and Sciences’ students with financial need entering their junior or senior year at Columbus State University who plan to take at least one summer course.
The scholarship award is to help cover the cost of tuition and fees for one course during the upcoming summer term.
Funds may be used to cover tuition, textbooks, room and board and other reasonable costs associated with obtaining a degree.

Eligibility Requirements

  • College of Letters and Sciences major
  • Overall GPA 2.5-2.99
  • Completed at least 60 credit hours
  • Completed FAFSA by March 13
  • EFC ≤$8,000
  • Meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Guidelines
  • Enrolled in at least one summer course.
  • Application to include a 250-word statement of need.

Students may only receive this scholarship one time.
